Ancestry guide

As the years went by more and more cultures got mixed and so did races, so much so that nowadays is very rare to find someone of “pure blood”, and so people tend to refer to their “race” as their Ancestry. For Cultural heritage you are completely free to decide how much your character knows and is involved with their cultural heritage.

A character’s ancestry can composed of inumerous races and that’s up for you to decide. However, when creating your character’s sheet we will be using only two main races. These races can be either from the original DnD 5e or from any homebrew.

💡 Make sure you talk with your Dm if you so decide to use one or both homebrew races.

Age

For Adulthood age you will note both of your chosen races average adult age, add them together and then divide it by two, and that will be your adult age.

For general lifespan you again will note both your chosen races average lifespan, add them together and then divide it by two, and that will be your expected lifespan.

Example: My two chosen races are Halfling and Dragonborn, Halflings reach adulthood at around 20 years old, while dragonborns reach adulthood at around 15 years old. So i will add both numbers together 20+15=35. Then take that total and divide by 2 35.2=17 My character will reach adulthood at 17 years old.

Size

If both of your chosen races are size Medium, then so are you. If both are Small, then so are you. If both Small and Medium sizes appear in your chosen races, you may choose which size you are.
About exact Height; You can be any height from either races height range. A character with dragonborn and halfling ancestry could be anywhere from 2ft tall up to 8ft tall.

Speed

Your base walking speed is 30 feet, unless both of your chosen races have a base speed of 25 feet, or your size is Small, in which case your base walking speed is 25 feet.
